Garden of EDEN: Rosa T Triple Action Acne Serum

As i was browsing around Guardian last month just randomly looking around, i came across this brand Garden of EDEN. What attracted me in the first place was the packaging, it totally just screams "natural" among all the other brands sitting along side it. As you can guess, i'm always on the look out for products that are natural and organic. So i was thinking, why not give this a try as natural products seldom let me down and its all good stuff!

One thing that got me skeptical is that this is a locally made product. This product claims (as you can see from the packaging above) that it reduces sebum and oily skin, clears pimples and acne, minimise acne scarring. After using it, your skin would feel less oily, reduced whiteheads and blackheads and visibly clearer and smoother skin.

Its packed with ingredients such as:
Rosehip seed oil, Natural Vitamin E, Tea Tree, Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride and Grape seed oil.

Does not contain:
Animal ingredients, alcohol, preservative, colouring, artificial fragrances, mineral oil, synthetic ingredients.

Just gently massage 2-3 drops of serum into acne sots, acne scars or oily T-zone area. Best used at night for intensive care.

When it comes to serum, its normally a concentrated liquid with all the good stuff such as rose hip seed oil, Vitamin E and etc. So when i added this to my daily night time routine; which is layering it on areas that i needed to correct and right before my daily night moisturiser, i was surprise that i started breaking out from it. I wasn't sure what i did wrong but maybe it could just be that this is not right for my skin. So i stopped using it for a while to let my skin calm down before trying it again.

The consistency of this serum is light but not too watery and when you apply it onto the areas, it goes on smoothly. One thing i did not like is that it doesn't get absorbed into the skin right away, which is somewhat irritating cause you would need to wait for it to be absorbed than only apply moisturiser, or you can just skip that step (which is up to your preference). It doesn't go on too oily and but does leave a shine till it gets absorbed into the skin. Scent wise it doesn't have a very strong scent and it smells like tea tree oil which is also one of the ingredients.

So after waiting for my skin to calm down, i gave it a go again but this time using it two or three times a week in my night routine. So far i don't see any unwanted breakouts which is great! It's good that it maintain the condition of my skin. I do not see any less whiteheads or blackheads but i do realise that my skin feels less oily.

Overall i think i would give this a 6/10, for the consistency and scent and putting those pesky pimples at bay. Would i repurchase this? Maybe, but i don't think so this would be on my list again. This is a good product to give a try but not a holy grail product.

If your interested to give this a try, it is easily found in Watsons or Guardian but sadly i forgot where i put my receipts and cant tell you the exact price. I think it retails around RM35++ or more. I'm currently in search for a great serum to try, so tell me, whats your holy grail serum?
