If you have been following me on Instagram (You should if you haven't!), you would have already known about my recent trip to Melbourne in November. Whilst I was there, of course I had to pop into Chemist Warehouse and Mecca for some beauty fix which of course results to this beauty haul. While there's some beauty brands that is available in my local drugstores (here in Malaysia) such like L'oreal and Maybelline, I would say that these brands carry a much larger range in Melbourne. 

Chemist Warehouse carries drugstore brands and mostly at a discounted price. On top of my to-buy list was the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer. I've watched and read so many reviews about this concealer that was being loved by the beauty community - thus I had to get my hands on this and give it a try. I manage to get hold of this in two different colors, in Fair for brightening under the eyes and in Medium for concealing imperfections. Keeping on the L'oreal band wagon, my aunt actually recommended me the L'oreal Nude Magique CC Cream. This CC cream range carries 3 different tubes for different usage - Anti-dullness, Anti-fatigue, and Anti-redness. I bought the Anti-redness as my skin tends to be pimple prone. It actually comes out in a shade of green and as you blend it out, the color will turn into a skin tone color.

Rimmel is another drugstore brand that Chemist Warehouse carries and I'm pretty sure that this brand was actually available in Malaysia but for some reason over the years, my local drugstore discontinued carrying the brand. Rimmel has a great range of products and the Rimmel's Wake Me Up Concealer is one that I've been meaning to give it a try. I was also on the look out for a lip liner - specifically for the Charlotte Tilbury's Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk dupe as pointed out by Amelia Liana on her blog. I didn't manage to get hold of Rimmel's Exaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob but I did manage to get hold of Rimmel's Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lip Pencil in Indian Pink and Wild Clover. I'm gonna talk more about each product that is mentioned here in a dedicated post of it's own and spoiler alert, the Lip Liners are a love! 

Finishing up for the drugstore side is something for the nails, I got Rimmel's Rita Ora Nail Polish in 300 Glaston-Berry a very very nice watermelon red and Maybelline Super Stay 7 days in 625 Forevermore Green. 

Mecca Cosmetics is some sort like the Australian Sephora - all the high end cosmetics from UK, US and local Australian are being sold in Mecca. You can spot brands like Too Faced, Stila, By Terry and etc to name a few. I didn't intend to spend alot here as the currency rate is a killer, and I knew some of the brands that are already available in Malaysia's Sephora. So I picked By Terry's Ombre Blackstar in Bronze Moon having seen a review by ViviannaDoesMakeup on youtube, this is one product that is not to be missed. Last on the list is Hourglass The Indestructible Matte Litpstick in Icon - a rather intense red just perfect for that holiday look. 

Overall, Melbourne is really not a place to spend too much on makeup and it's not as comparable as shopping for makeup in Korea. I would suggest to spend on those products that is not available in your home country and save those funds on traveling around Melbourne as there's just too much to see and do.

An email in my inbox and 30 minutes later I was hitting the stores and wishing to grab everything off the isle. Yes, that was Sephora having their 20% sale. I had to contain myself of course.

I knew that I really wanted to try UD Naked Palette for some time now. Of course having influenced by all the positive reviews since it came out. So this was rather a good time to grab it while it's on sale! I was contemplating between Naked 1, 2 and 3. They look so nice on their own as well as having their own unique colour tones. When I went in store to give them all a swatch and comparing it side by side I was more drawn to the 1st and 3rd palette. The 1st has more colours that I would tend to wear while the 3rd has colours that I don't own. At the end of the day I bought the 1st palette as I knew that I would manage to get more wears out of it. Nevertheless, having a complete set seems to be a nice addition to any make up collection (if you know what I mean) :) I'm so excited to play with this and create new looks! (Yup, I totally dig into the palette before taking pictures.)

Recently I have been much into blushers, it's just one of those products which instantaneously make me more lively every morning. Whilst browsing around the NYX isle, I manage to grab Peach and Pinched. Both are such a pretty pink tone. Peach is a matte natural light pink tone while Pinched on the other hand has slight shimmer in it that gives a natural radiant glow to the cheeks. 

I was also on a lookout for an eyelid primer. On occasions, my eyeshadow tend to crease at the end of the day. A budget tip that I learned (from reading blogs/youtube videos) is that NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk is a good eyelid primer. If it's on a budget and works well, I'm all sold! 

While walking through the isle of doom (aka the checkout counter), I spotted Sephora daily makeup brush cleanser. I suppose it would come in handy for me as I usually tend to skip cleaning my makeup brushes unless I really need to. Usually that would be either once a week or once every two weeks. Which I know, it's not a good habit. Maybe this would help me in that area.

What better way to start October with a mini haul! I manage to picked these up in September but only having the time to share it now. September has been an eventful month outside of my blogging world.  Nevertheless, here i am now to share with you my haul. 

Lush is one brand that I so wish they open a store here in KL. They're just too good! But for the time being, the nearest that I can get hold of is from our neighbouring country Singapore. My aunt came back from Singapore in September, and I manage to pass her my list of things to buy. 

I was running super low on Grease Lightning and I can hands down say that this thing works like a miracle to combat those pimples. It's surely one of my holy grail products. I wanted to try Honey I Washed the Kids soap as I have tried a couple of their soap before and really liked it. So far, these two just satisfy my Lush cravings. For now. I'm still wishing for a physical store in KL. 

Every so often I would be watching Bath & Body Works haul on Youtube. Only recently I found out that they had a store in Singapore. My heart fluttered a little knowing that it's a little closer to getting my hands on them after years of watching youtube hauls. Even though I didn't get to be in stores physically to try out everything, I'm still happy that i'm able to test out a few of their products.

I didn't really know where to begin writing my to-buy list for my aunt, so I told her to get a candle and also the ever famous hand sanitiser. I have been dying to try their candle. I might just make one trip down to get my hands on some scent that I like. 

So far, I have the Margarita hand sanitiser in my purse and the smell is divine. Quite strong but it smells really good. I'm looking forward to using the other scent of hand sanitiser. I gave them a quick sniff and they smell equally as nice as Margarita. I haven't try lighting the candle yet as currently I still have some other candles to burn. The Tulips body mist is not bad either, not really the scent that I would go for but stays on quite well. I can say it will last probably for 4 hours.  I really don't know how to describe the scent. I think you just got to go sniff it yourself. 

I recently made a few purchases from Skin food while i was in Korea (which brings me to my Korea post that i'm still sorting through. Tons of pictures to edit, upload and write about. I hope it will be up some time soon this month.) Without further a do, these are the products that have been sitting in my make up pouch waiting to be used and loved. 

Skin Food Nail Vita Alpha

The bronze glitter was the first thing that draws me when i first caught a glimpse of it in the store. Which was one of the reason why i bought it, the other reason was that i dont own any nail polish from Skin Food. This nail polish is a clear polish with specks of glitter - hmmmm, specks might not be the correct word to describe it. I might say its more of huge cuts of glitter. Upon applying, i did realise that the glitter did not disperse evenly on my nails and it was hard to get a good amount of glitter. Which is just a sad thing. I thought i would be able to wear it on it's own but it was just getting messy if i were to layer it up. I might be able to wear this on top of a colour nail polish and just get few specks of glitter on it. 

Skin Food Rose Essence Blusher In #2

I didn't realise how versatile this blusher could be. It's such a pretty orange colour that has a slight bronzing shimmer in it. You could totally wear this everyday and have a pretty glow to your cheeks (check out the swatch picture below) -Which would give you the effect of a healthy glowing skin. One unique thing about this blusher is that it smells like rose, hence the name. I don't really fancy rose smelling things but it doest bother me too much on the scent. I really like the payoff colour, one swatch and i picked up just enough of colour that shows. 

Skin Food VIVA-Waterproof Tip Pen Eyeliner 

Since getting this, i have been using it everyday! I just love it that i can easily control the thickness of my eyeliner and it's waterproof. It dries just as soon as i apply it which is another plus point. We won't want any panda eyes when we sneeze right in the middle of applying the eyeliner do we? (#makeupfirstworldproblems)The staying power is great, which last me a whole day without smudging or budging anywhere. I did not once need to reapply or touch-up. Fuss free is the key word.  I can 100% say this is one great jet black eyeliner! Totally recommended.
