Beating the summer heat in this weather in KL is definitely a crucial one as the days are getting hotter by the minute! What's worst than the morning heat is that it stays on throughout the night too. Yes, it's been that bad.... Anyways onto today's post, not much on how i beat the summer heat (except for staying in doors the whole day) but more on how i manage to make my makeup stay crisps and clean all day. Thanks to these two products from Shu Uemura. It's definitely a game changer in my books. 

Since incorporating a base into my makeup routine, i'm amazed that my makeup has been less prone to oiliness and basically budge free! Shu Uemura UV Under Base Mousse has definitely made things right. This UV under base mousse is very light and airy and it feels like your not wearing anything and the great thing about this is that it has SPF 30++. Double duty product, score! The product comes in a tin packaging with a pump which you would have to give it a few shakes beforehand. I like that it's easy to get the product out and also hygienic but on the downside, as i'm getting to the end of the product it feels kind of hard to press the pump. I'm guessing, probably due to air pressure inside. Another downside is that it's hard to manage how much that comes out. So i would have to give it a light press or else i would have pump too much out.

When smoothing it out, the light weight foam will just disperse into your skin while adding a light coverage. The coverage will help to even out your skin tone at the same time giving you a light natural glow. I'm also loving the fact that i am able to use this on it's own and also as a base when i needed a fuller coverage makeup look. I would normally use this on the weekend (when i'm out and about) on it's own just to give my face a little coverage so that i don't look like a sleeping zombie. So far of usage, it has not broken me out once. Although it's much on the heavier price tag - retailing for RM118 but i do recommend it as it's one good product worth investing. 

My final step to my makeup routine is to seal it all in with the help of Shu Uemura's Deepsea Water Facial Mist. I have with me is the mint scent and the scent is very subtle and not something over powering. What's great about this mist is the multipurpose usage of it. I mainly use it to set my makeup but when i need it to soothe my skin at it's breakout point, this is my one go-to product. It's refreshing and keeps your skin feeling soft and soothe out any redness. You can use it over anything really, or just on it's own to add some hydration when it's one of those lazy days. *double brownie points for multipurpose usage products* :) This retails for RM90.
