5 Things | This weekend

Today's post is somewhat different than my normal beauty post. I like the idea of having more variants of post on Mabeses and i'm trying to put more of a personality into it. My weekends usually consist of quite a handful of activities besides being a couch potato, i tend to schedule some R&R to get me through another week of work. So, here's my list of 5 things that you can do this weekend or any other weekend.

1. Sit back, relax and grab a good book.
At times when we're so consumed with our social media catch up and what not, it's nice to take some tech time out and dig into a book. I got to admit, I'm a book worm and it's really relaxing to just grab a good book and read the whole day.  Just getting all caught up into fantasy and forget about the real world for a minute. Even if you don't have the luxury of time it's always a good habit to read before you snooze, which is a great way to wind down.

2. Make an effort to cook something!
Ahhh... the end result of this is some mouth watering meals to savour in. Besides actually having a nice healthy meal, it's also a nice activity to do it with your partner/family/friends. Planning your meals in advance is one way to stay organised and you can also shop your groceries easier. I'm trying to make an effort to cook at least once a week and digging into my recipe book stash to try new things.

3. Spend time to rejuvenate and pamper yourself
Another relaxing thing to do is to slather on that mask and get a good bath time in before snuggling up into a nice and cosy bed. We must first love ourself before loving someone right? Do this at least once a week and you will definitely feel more relax and pampered. Plus your skin will thank you for this.

4. Plan your outfit for the week
Sunday nights are usually a good time to plan your outfit for the week if your like me, who has a full time job. It's always the usual morning rush that we tend to simply grab whatever is matching with minimal to non ironing needed, put it on, and scramble out the door. All you need is to devote 10 minutes of your time on Sundays to plan a whole week of outfit, get those irons on if there is a need to and at the end of the day you get a stressless morning on deciding what to wear.

5. Write
Write anything, anywhere into your journal (if you have one) or blog about anything (really). Tapping into your own thoughts is a therapeutic thing to do. It helps you to think about what you really like or dislike or maybe some ideas that you have been toying around in your head. Take this as an outlet to let your thoughts and ideas flow. Plus this is also a great way to give yourself some reassurance. Who knows, writing out your thoughts might create a ripple effect.

Whats your ideal weekend?
