September Haul | Lush & BBW!!

What better way to start October with a mini haul! I manage to picked these up in September but only having the time to share it now. September has been an eventful month outside of my blogging world.  Nevertheless, here i am now to share with you my haul.

Lush is one brand that I so wish they open a store here in KL. They're just too good! But for the time being, the nearest that I can get hold of is from our neighbouring country Singapore. My aunt came back from Singapore in September, and I manage to pass her my list of things to buy.

I was running super low on Grease Lightning and I can hands down say that this thing works like a miracle to combat those pimples. It's surely one of my holy grail products. I wanted to try Honey I Washed the Kids soap as I have tried a couple of their soap before and really liked it. So far, these two just satisfy my Lush cravings. For now. I'm still wishing for a physical store in KL.

Every so often I would be watching Bath & Body Works haul on Youtube. Only recently I found out that they had a store in Singapore. My heart fluttered a little knowing that it's a little closer to getting my hands on them after years of watching youtube hauls. Even though I didn't get to be in stores physically to try out everything, I'm still happy that i'm able to test out a few of their products.

I didn't really know where to begin writing my to-buy list for my aunt, so I told her to get a candle and also the ever famous hand sanitiser. I have been dying to try their candle. I might just make one trip down to get my hands on some scent that I like.

So far, I have the Margarita hand sanitiser in my purse and the smell is divine. Quite strong but it smells really good. I'm looking forward to using the other scent of hand sanitiser. I gave them a quick sniff and they smell equally as nice as Margarita. I haven't try lighting the candle yet as currently I still have some other candles to burn. The Tulips body mist is not bad either, not really the scent that I would go for but stays on quite well. I can say it will last probably for 4 hours.  I really don't know how to describe the scent. I think you just got to go sniff it yourself.

What's your favourite product from Lush or BBW?

Winter in Korea: Day 1 - Arriving and Checking In

I'm finally taking some time to sit down and blog about my korea trip after months and months of putting it off (been forever). I've been procrastinating too much from sorting out the pictures. Since i have been binge watching Korean drama's these days (manage to watched My Love From The Star, so good! and my current favourite is The Heirs), I really missed Korea and think it's just about time to talk about it.

I'm splitting up the post by different days, I think there's just too much to talk about. So let's just get into it aye!~

Just FYI, this trip to Korea was in December 2013, and yes i have put if off for THAT long.. December is when winter starts, so if you are going around this time better bring along the right attire or else you will be freezing your ass off while sight seeing.

We kickstarted off the trip with an early flight from KL and ensuring that I would be reach Seoul by the evening. The flight was around 7 hours and thank god it was smooth sailing all the way.

Your average in flight food from Airasia.

Reached Incheon Airport save and sound. Incheon airport is surprising so clean!

First thing that we did was to find a coffee place in the airport before leaving off to the hotel. We manage to stumble upon Cafe Bene. A couple months later, we have Cafe Bene here in KL!

After having a tad bit of a hard time trying to order at the counter, we finally manage to get our drinks. We definitely need these warm drinks before bracing ourself for the cold winter air.

After filling our tummy with some warm drink it was time to bundle up and head out. Before coming to Korea, i definitely did my research on the places that we planned to go and also how to get there. At this point of time, whatever was written on my one piece of paper seem to be my life on getting about in Seoul. As the first mission was to check into the hotel, we need to take bus no. 6010 from the airport which will stop at Wangsimni station. This is where our hotel is. It wasn't hard to find the bus stop, the sign was big and clear right when we exit the airport. One plus point in Seoul, i don't think you would get lost if you know where to exit. Preparation is definitely key! Since it was winter, nighttime just comes early. It may seem like it's 8 o'clock but actually it was only 5pm here.

The bus ride to the hotel was approximately 20 minutes. Once settled in, it was time for dinner. We decided to just wonder about nearby our hotel and lucky us, we came across this BBQ place which serves really scrumptious Korean food. We really had no idea what we were in and was really surprised with how good the food was. I don't think we can ever get this in Malaysia. Oh boy, thinking about it, the taste still lingers about in my mouth. Brace yourself for some food pictures ahead.

This ahjussi is the one preparing all the BBQ meat outside the store, and bear in mind that it was winter so it was definitely cold outside.

Once the meat is cooked, they serve us by bringing the meat to the BBQ pit on our table. This will help keep the meat warm and nice, and they actually use charcoal for the fire. So just imagine the taste of the meat that is infused with the smoke from the charcoal. So good!

The owner of the store was really nice and welcoming. Knowing that we're not from around, he  explained to us in english on how to eat the food and also recommending us what to order. We settled with some squid, chicken, eel, and steam egg. The meal was so good that i only manage to capture a few pictures before it all went into our belly.

Some pickles that was serve to go along with the meal.

Oh, and what's a meal in Korea without soju and makguli?!

Steam egg was definitely so nice and soft.

Besides the BBQ meat, this was the bomb! It's rice, egg, kimchi, anchovies mixd with some korean sauce. Sounds simple but it's definitely the bomb. The owner was kind enough to demonstrate it to us on how to eat this seeing the clueless looks on our face. Hahaha. He told us to put everything into the  box, covered it with the lid and shake it like you never shake it before. Open the box and enjoy your meal. Gosh the taste was so so good! I don't think i can put it into words. It's definitely a must try!

Overall, Seoul has already left a lasting impression on me. From the environment, people and especially the food! First day has been a good one and i'm excited to talk about day 2 next. Everland! I will gradually post them once a week so stay tuned for that! :)

Have a great day ahead peeps!

Weekend Outtakes | Holiday tea, series and a sushi fest!

If your a season reader of my blog, I'm sure you would have seen my previous post about my weekend. If you have not, well here's what i did over the weekend (just a heads up, it involves more food). I'm not really digging the name "Over the weekend" so i have decided to rename it to "Weekend Outtakes". So here's what i've been up to over the past two weeks.

1. Tea time at Chinoz over the Raya holiday, and boy it was a bad idea to be out and about on a public holiday.
2. Since having a long weekend, I had the luxury of time to sit down and catch up on my series which I'm way way behind everything. I'm currently watching The OC.
3. Japanese food is one of my favourite cuisine and definitely would have it anytime. Here's some picture for you to drool over :)

Have a great day ahead peeps!

Beauty Rediscovered | Etude House Oh m'Eyeliner

I've actually tried this eyeliner before, when i first started getting into makeup. I've cast it aside since finishing and also getting caught up into trying and testing different brands. Only recently I've picked it up again and use it on quite a daily basis, and boy it was such a good idea. I have really forgotten how great this eyeliner was.

Let me tell you, the staying power is awesome! This is first and foremost one important factor that i look into when getting my eyeliner. I do not like the need to reapply or touch up my makeup throughout the day. I just like to put it on and expect it to stay. Etude house definitely did ace in this factor as their formula does not budge, flake or smudge throughout the day... and some say it's even water proof ! The color pigmentation is another plus point as it's the blackest black as a black can be. You don't need to go back over again to get the color out as one swipe across will definitely do it justice. The liquid does not take very long to dry, though you would need to give it about 3 seconds for it to set without accidentally smudging it. Once it's on, it's really ON and will not leave till you clean it off with a makeup remover. It did last me one whole day without any single sign of smudging.

The applicator is one hell of a great tool. It will definitely pick up enough product for you to draw that perfect wing. It's small enough to help you create a thin line or a thicker line with the right amount of pressure. It's also great for beginners as you can slowly practice drawing your eyeliner with small strokes.

It's no wonder people rave about their eyeliners and seeing as everyone has one in their shopping basket in Korea it's a green light sign to spend your money on!

Yay or nay for you??

Beauty | Bronzing up with Sleek

I've been meaning to talk more about Sleek's Face Form Contouring Palette since hauling it in my Luxola order. Yeap.. so here i am, after having had some fun with this contouring palette i think it was time to gather my thoughts and pen it down!

If your looking for a basic contouring palette which is compact enough for traveling or a palette to just pop into your handbag, this palette is right up your alley! Besides the packaging being so compact, the huge mirror that came with it is another plus.

Other than the sleek packaging that is going on, the star of the palette is definitely the product. It's really pigmented and has a smooth formulae to it. It doesn't chalk up as far as i've used it. So that's a good sign. The colours are really wearable, the bronzer has the right shade to help you bring a lil bit of sunlight. The blusher is a nice pink with a dust of gold in it but not to worry, the gold doesn't show up after you have applied it. My favourite among the three has definitely got to be the highlighter. It has the right amount of shimmer and when applied, it brings the right amount of light to your face.

Sleek definitely has done it right. I don't have to look far for a contouring palette as i know this palette is just right for me. The price point is also another plus. I bought mine from Luxola for RM53.   I might be eyeing more on Sleek products (wink wink).

On the side note, I've also manage to give my thoughts on the Zoeva brushes if your interested to know.

What are your thoughts on Sleek face form contour palette?
