Pony Effect is one Kbeauty brand that you should be on the lookout for. If you are not aware, Pony is a well known makeup artist in the Kbeauty world. She has her own youtube channel (with over 2 mil subscribers) where she post makeup tutorials. If you're interested in learning korean makeup looks, I highly recommend to check out her channel! Since discovering her beauty channel, I got really interested in giving her makeup line a go.
Hermo has been the place for me to shop when it comes to Kbeauty products and I'm not surprised that they carry Pony Effect's product. Here for this haul, I've got my hands on Pony Effect Conceptual Eyes Quad in Be Romantic, Poney Effect Nail Lacquer in Sugar Cube and Pony Effect Pebble Blender.
I really love the packaging on Pony's products - you can never go wrong with rose gold packaging!
Pony Effect Nail Lacquer in Sugar Cube is a pretty pink that is neither to light nor too dark. It's just the perfect pick-me-up-pink that I've been looking for. On first application it can be quite sheer but two coats would build it up perfectly.
Pony Effects Pebble Blender is a beauty blender of the kind. It's soft enough for application and it works better when slightly damp. I actually prefer this over Too Cool for School Marshmallow Puff which I did a review (3 years ago) and spoiler alert I was impressed by it. Now that I've branched out to explore more on different brands of beauty blender, Pony Effects Pebble Blender is the one that I reach for. I'm in need to try out other brands of beauty blender, hit me up with some suggestion on which brands are good. Anyways, I really like that this beauty blender is soft on the skin and that when applying foundation in a tapping motion I feel that it blends the foundation into the skin pretty flawlessly. On the downside when using a beauty sponge to blend in the foundation you would be using a little bit more product compared to blending with the fingers or with a brush.
Elegantly designed, the quad palette comes with a magnetic enclosing and a mirror which always come in handy when travelling with the palette. Pony Effects Conceptual Eyes Quad in Be Romantic is a quad palette with 4 different eye shadow shades that are more towards the neutral with undertones of red and salmon colors. If you're going for a sweet pinkish look, I feel that this is the one palette that has it all. The palette comes with two shimmery tones with is the shade Love Me and Moment and two matte shade which are Roses and Doom.
Love Me - A light beige color with pinkish undertone and hints of glitter for the shimmery effect.
Roses - A salmon color that is matte.
Moment - A bronze shade with a slight salmon undertone and hints of glitter for the shimmery effect.
Doom - A light maroon color with purple undertones and is matte.
The two shimmery shades (Love me and Moment) both applies smoothly upon swatching and there was a slight fallout due to the glitters. The matte shades (Roses and Doom) however on the other hand, swatched abit chalky - which I do not like when it comes to eyeshadow -but swatching it on for the second time, it became to build up and blends easily.
The one color that I was really excited about after I did the first swatch was the shade Moment. Bronze color is always my favorite color when it comes to eyeshadow. The easiest color to apply when it comes to everyday look. Overall I would say this palette is an A-OK one.
